From 1 September 2025, a new decision applies to Parliament staff in a management role that requires the prior registration of interest representatives who meet them. In practice, this means interest representatives who have scheduled meetings about Parliamentary business with Parliament’s Secretary-General, Deputy Secretaries-General, Directors-General, Directors, Heads of Unit and team leaders in the Cabinets of the President and the Secretary-General must be registered and have an active status, or the meeting cannot take place. For more information on the rules requiring registration of interest representatives, please consult the conditionality page.
Information about meetings with interest representatives and with representatives of non-EU countries’ public authorities shall be published on Parliament's official website following a declaration by managers no later than thirty calendar days after the meeting.
